Services and Rates

I want to make sure that the rate I give you is tailored to your precise needs.  We take into account the number of animals, types of animals, the length of time your visit takes and your location.

Initial Consultation - No Charge

• 20 minutes and under is $18.00 (For small animals only)
• 21-30 minutes is $21.00 (Large animals start at this rate)
• 31-45 minutes is $25.00 (Generally farms with several animals start at this rate)
• 46-60 minutes is $30.00
• $5 for each additional 15 minutes. This may be customized to your needs.
• Overnight visits start at $65/night for small animals, and $75/night for large animals.
   Please note that overnights start around 9 p.m. and end after morning chores.
   Additional day visits incur an extra day visit charge, according to the rates above.

• Walks and playtime
• Feeding and watering
• Turnout/blanketing
• Collecting newspaper or mail
• Alternating lights
• Emptying dehumidifiers
• Taking out trash or bringing in trash cans
• Administering easy-to-give meds to willing animals
• Fill bird feeders or care for other outdoor critters
• Check pool skimmers or water levels
• Feed fish
• Opening and closing blinds
• Water plants that take a small amount of time
• Any other small chores you may need, just ask!

• Please note these are fees are added onto the rates listed above:
• Trip fee $3.00 per visit, if your house is outside our local travel area.  This may include trips on top of some of the local mountains.
• Convenience fee $3.00, if you would like us to arrive at a specific time. Otherwise we will work with you to set a two- or three-hour window for your visits.
• Cleaning stalls is $3.00 per stall.
• Paddock cleaning begins at $5.00 for paddocks with 2 horses.
• Difficult-to-handle or fearful animals incur an extra $5.00 fee. However, this rate may increase depending on the amount of extra time that is required to safely handle your animal.
• Vet trips begin at $25.00
• Visits on Christmas day and Thanksgiving day incur an extra $5.00 fee per client
• The first key drop-off and pick up is complimentary.  Each additional trip to your home for a key exchange will incur a $10.00 charge.
• Fees to administer first-aid or injury care, such as administering fluids or changing bandages will be set according to your needs.
• Plant maintenance that requires more than 10 minutes of our direct, concentrated attention will be charged according to the extra time required.

• Cancellation Policy
• For cancellations, please notify me 24 hours before the start time of your next scheduled visit.  I do charge for any visits booked within 12 hours of when you cancel.

• Last-Minute Booking
• $5 fee for visits booked within 24 hours of the 1st visit.  To maintain an excellent standard of care for all our clients, please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests.

Please be aware that if we encounter unforeseen mishaps, animal injuries, winter conditions, reluctant or fearful animals or inclement weather, your visit rate could fluctuate. Also, sometimes your job rate may change depending on the time of year.  For instance, winter prices may be a little higher due to horse blanketing, frozen water troughs or extra hay duties, etc.
